About us

HODO, Helping Orphans Development Organization, is a South Sudanese NGO established in 2021, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for vulnerable children and orphans. With headquarters in Jebel Boma County and coordination offices in Juba, HODO’s comprehensive efforts span various regions, including Pibor, Kapoeta, Pochalla, and Bargazal. The organization focuses on self-sufficiency through child protection, agriculture, food security, health, education, and WASH. Guided by core values, HODO actively addresses the return or integration of displaced populations, aiming to uplift South Sudanese communities by tackling insecurity, food scarcity, and poverty. Operating across the country, HODO’s reach includes orphans, vulnerable children, street kids, individuals with disabilities, widows, youths, and women. The NGO pursues diverse objectives, emphasizing community development, empowerment, and resource management. Our activities encompass modern farming methods, home-based health care, community capacity building, volunteer programs, peace training, and poverty alleviation initiatives. HODO invites collaboration in this transformative journey, aspiring to create lasting positive change and empower communities throughout South Sudan.
